The lecture is about the Spanish Journalism and Social Communication system in recent history: from the dictatorship to the present. The content refers to the Francoist regime (1939-1975), to the transition to democracy (1975-1978) and to the democratic period, from 1978 to the current economic crisis, specially hard regarding the media industry. References to the political and social Spanish contexts are included to get the understanding of foreign students.
Prof. Dr. Ricardo Zugasti Azagra is a lecturer at the Faculty of Communication of San Jorge University (Saragossa, Spain) where he teaches Spanish Journalism History and Social Communication History. Dr. Zugasti holds a Ph. D. in Communication from University of Navarre and has been visiting researcher and lecturer in six universities.
